About

Marta Haydym-Silver, CFP™️, AIF®

Growing up, money often felt more like an illusion than a tool for living. I immigrated from Ukraine to Orange County, California, at 18 months old with my mom and brother, while my dad remained behind for over eight years due to visa restrictions. Navigating life as both an immigrant and an American shaped my perspective on financial systems—balancing old traditions with new realities. Eventually, my family reunited, and we moved to Maine together in pursuit of the "American Dream."

I earned my bachelor's degree in Economics in California before returning to Maine to start my career in financial services. My personal experience with financial uncertainty gives me a deep appreciation for financial literacy and the importance of informed decision-making. What once caused me anxiety—like stashing cash under my mattress as a teenager—has now become my passion: helping others navigate their financial lives with confidence, clarity, and control.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®️️, and a member of the XY Planning Network. I was the recipient of the 2021 Out Front Leadership Award from Equality Maine for commitment to financial education and community impact.

When I’m not thinking about financial systems and how we interact with them, I enjoy reading, powerlifting, and spoiling my two dogs.
